Solar Shading

We provided the Brise Soleil system to the impressive new HQ building for the Bernicia Housing Association in Ashington, Northumberland. The scheme consisted of two buildings. The first is the HQ office block and these one is the PMD building. Both areas required an ADS solar shading solution.

Our system comprises of 1st fix steel brackets back to the steel-work, 2nd fix cassettes that comprise of aluminium end plates and 150mm Aerofoil blades fitted between. The most challenging part of this scheme was the two 3.0m projecting areas above the balconies that required structurally engineered with cantilevered tie rods to support the significant loads.
