Solar Shading

St. Benedict's Hospice in Sunderland provides specialist palliative care to the people of Sunderland and surrounding districts.

When the Hospice built their new facility to the south of Sunderland city Centre, the architect approached ADS to develop a feature Brise Soleil system to provide shading to the occupants. Our design included timber Glulam beams and rectangular glulam blades fitted with stainless steel feature bolts and fixings. The striking courtyard area and south facing facades have a facetted construction that required detailed site surveys and specialist mitred construction to give a flowing appearance.
