Solar Shading

ADS designed, supplied and installed the Brise Soleil system at Cobalt 9C in Newcastle.

Our system comprises of vertical support steelwork that fixed back to the projecting soffits and specialist base plates on concrete pad foundations. The 15m high posts needed to be jointed seamlessly using specialist curtain wall brackets to stabilise the posts. 

We then fixed our 300mm aerofoil blades between the posts using specialist end caps with fixing lugs. The system provides much needed shading to the south and West facing elevations to maintain a good internal temperature during the summer months whilst also providing a striking facade to the impressive office development.
