We are looking to employ an Estimator to be based in our offices at the Team Valley in Gateshead.
This full time role will mainly include preparing and following up quotations. The ideal candidate will receive a full training period provided by ADS.
The candidate must be a good communicator, work well under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. You will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, good analytical skills, previous ‘technical sales’ based role with a proven track record is essential & CAD experience would be beneficial to this role.
Key duties include:
- Close liaison with clients to develop high quality technical estimates
- Accurate take off from drawings and provision of suitable specification of products
- Assessing materials & labour required
- Detailed quotations are to be issued
- Co-ordinate workload to meet clients tender return dates
- Meeting with clients to secure projects
- Provide detailed hand over documents for the contracts team
The ideal candidate will be expected to work to tight deadlines, liaise with the sales team on a regular basis, report to the sales manager, provide a prompt response to enquiries, have a confident telephone manner, undertake site surveys and have a good level of IT knowledge.
You must be prepared to travel throughout the UK with possible overnight stays. A current drivers Licence is essential and a company car & mobile telephone would be provided.

The role is full time and is based at our Gateshead Office. Salary band is £23 - £26K per annum (depending upon experience).
