Project Update - 22-09-2017
We have been really busy over the past few months!
This time of year generally means commissioning and handing over of student accommodation schemes for the new academic year.
This year has been no different.
Crown House, Sheffield:
This scheme in the centre of Sheffield includes numerous mechanical smoke shaft & AOV systems. The design of the system is backed up by our CFD analysis and our PI Insurance. Each of the blocks have Osloop control panels to operate the 24v system and these are linked to fan starter panels to run the smoke rated extract fans.
New Bridge St, Newcastle:
This scheme consists of three blocks that have mechanical smoke shafts, AOV's and control systems. The design of the system is backed up by our CFD analysis and our PI Insurance. Again, each of the blocks have Osloop control panels to operate the 24v system and these are linked to fan starter panels to run the smoke rated extract fans.
Stoddart St (The Shield), Newcastle:
Stoddart St includes many natural 1.5m2 free area BRE smoke shafts and heaf of stairs systems. We used the SE controls Osloop & OS2 systems to control the smoke ventilation equipment througout each of the blocks.
Its not only student accommodation schemes... we have also completed some other very large projects. These include IKEA in Sheffield and B&Q Edge Lane in Liverpool. Both of these large retail schemes were fully commissioned and handed over on time. These schemes have natural ventilators to the roof level and mechanical smoke extract systems throughout.
We have also been awarded another pretigious IKEA store smoke ventilation contract in the latest store in Exeter. We look forward to working with the new team on the South coast and for IKEA properties once more.
